Moana Hale - (oceanfront)
The Moana Hale (Beautiful Ocean Home) was designed by "Lucky" Bennett, a local award winning architect on the Big Island of Hawaii. This two-story, 5 bedroom, 3 bath oceanfront vacation home features an open-living floor plan and awe-inspiring panoramic ocean views. A shared main entrance with Lihikai and Kohala Bungalows, entrance leads to enchanting koi ponds surrounded by lushly landscaped gardens. Cooling slate floors run throughout the home, with vaulted ceilings in the main area.
In the fully appointed designer kitchen, cabinets of rare Koa wood, combined with sleek black granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, oven, warmer, double-door 'sub-zero' refrigerator, 'sub-zero' wine refrigerator) set the stage. Eight hand-crafted Koa wood barstools nestled at the extensive kitchen island provide ample seating for kitchen-side conversation, quick meals, or cocktails. Eight Koa chairs grace the four by eight luxurious Koa dining room table in the nearby dining area.
Within sight, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is a state-of-the-art billiard table which is leveled and maintained annually.
In the living area, a large "L"-shaped 'downed' sofa is optimally placed to enjoy the built-in Koa wood entertainment center, which has a big-screen 4k LED HDTV television equipped with cable and Apple TV, a complete stereo system. Downstairs, along with a full bathroom with slate shower, floors, and beautiful Koa wood cabinetry, you will find two bedrooms with Lexington "Tommy Bahama" queen-sized beds with extremely comfortable Simmons' high-end Simmons' pillow-top mattresses. The laundry room is also downstairs and features an upright Whirlpool Duet HT washer and a high-capacity Whirlpool Duet gas dryer.
Upstairs, an additional three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located. Bedroom #3 has a queen sized bed, bedroom #4 has two twin beds. Bedroom #5, the Master Bedroom, has a queen-sized bed with a beautiful slate floor and a private Master Bathroom.
Overlooking the refreshing freshwater pool and the rhythmic Pacific waves, the most breathtaking part of the Moana Hale home may be the tranquil outdoor lanai. In the winter time, in early mornings, whales and pods of dolphins can often be spotted. The lanai is also the optimal place from which to view the spectacular Hawaiian sunsets!
Many visit the Kona Beach Bungalows after hearing about us from friends or other satisfied customers. Shared tales of evenings lounging on the lanai watching the sunset, wading at the beach with the mystical turtles (Honu), or joyous wedding with the legendary Hawaiian sunset as a backdrop draw vacationers, adventurers, and families to this Hawaiian "home away from home". Memories are made here daily.
We invite you to bring your family and friends to one of the last pieces of historic paradise on the Kona Coast of Hawaii.
Step back in time... to a slower pace of life; to where "Aloha" means "I love you".
